One licence. Everything, everywhere.
There is one licence and the membership is it. No desktop tier, no separate webfont fee, no seat count, no pageview band, and nothing extra to buy when a project turns out bigger than you expected.
You may
You may
- Logos, wordmarks and brand identities, including ones you register as trade marks
- Print of any kind and any quantity — packaging, books, posters, signage, editorial
- Websites and web apps, self-hosted as webfonts, with no pageview ceiling
- Native mobile and desktop applications, embedded in the binary
- Products you sell: merchandise, templates, games, video, physical goods
- Client work, delivered to the client as part of the finished job
- Broadcast, film and advertising, with no audience or impression cap
You may not
You may not
- Reselling, sublicensing or redistributing the font files themselves, modified or not
- Publishing the files anywhere they can be downloaded — a public repository, an asset pack, a template marketplace
- Handing the files to a client or contractor as files, rather than as part of finished work; they need their own membership to hold the fonts
- Passing the files around a company you do not work for
All of it comes down to one line: sell what you make with the fonts, not the fonts.
The detail
- Who the licence covers
- One membership covers you and the organisation you hold it for. Everyone at that organisation may install and use the fonts on any number of machines. There is no seat count and no per-workstation fee.
- What happens when you cancel
- The licence on everything you downloaded while your membership was active is perpetual and does not expire. You keep using those files in the work you made and in work you make later, indefinitely. What you lose at the end of the paid period is access to new downloads and to families released after you left.
- Modifying the fonts
- You may modify a font file for your own use — redraw a glyph, adjust spacing, subset it for the web. A modified file is covered by this licence exactly as the original is, which also means it may not be redistributed.
- Client work
- You may use the fonts in work you deliver to a client, including their logo and brand identity, and the client may use that finished work however they like without their own membership. What they may not receive is the font files. If the client needs to set new type themselves, they need a membership of their own.
- Webfonts
- Self-host the files on your own domain or your CDN. There is no pageview limit, no domain count and no tracking script. Do not put the files on a public font service that serves them to sites other than yours.
- Fair use limit
- Members may download 25 new families a day. Re-downloading something you already have never counts against it. The cap exists so the library cannot be drained wholesale in a week; it is not there to ration anyone doing real work.
- Warranty
- The fonts are provided as they are. Ordklasse does not warrant that a given family is fit for a particular purpose. If a file is faulty, tell us and we will fix it or refund the month.
Everything above, for A$50 a month.
Cancel any time. What you downloaded stays licensed.
This page is the plain-English summary of the licence and is what Ordklassewill hold itself to. It is a description of commercial terms, not legal advice, and it has not been settled by a solicitor — worth doing before it is relied on in a dispute.
