What we collect, why, and who else sees it. We keep it to what the library, your account and our ads need.
- Who we are
Ordklasse is a type foundry based in Australia. This policy covers ordklasse.com and the emails we send. "We" and "us" mean Ordklasse. For anything in it, write to hello@ordklasse.com.
- What we collect
Your email address, when you pay, claim an offer, sign in or join the mailing list. There is no sign-up form: an account is made from the email you give at checkout.
What you do in the library while signed in: the families you view, save, search for and download, and the days you use it. We use this to run your account, apply the daily download limit and see which families people actually use.
Where a visit came from, when you arrive at the launch offer or free trial page from an ad: the campaign details in the link (source, medium, campaign, ad name, ad id, TikTok click id) and the page you landed on. We keep them against your membership.
If you join Earn with Ordklasse: the PayPal email you want paid at and, for Australians who give one, your ABN, plus the code you share and which new members used it, so we can pay you. The people who use your code are not told who you are beyond the code.
Technical details your browser sends with every request, such as IP address, browser and device type, which our hosting and analytics providers receive.
- Payments
Checkout is run by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record. Stripe collects your name, billing address and payment details and handles them under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us your email, what you bought, the amount, your plan, any free trial and whether your membership is active.
- Emails
We send the emails you need: sign-in links, and notices when a membership starts, a free trial is about to end, a payment fails or a membership ends. Stripe sends payment receipts.
At checkout we ask whether we may email you new fonts and offers. The answer starts at yes and you can change it to no before you pay. We send those emails only if the answer was yes or you joined the mailing list. Every one carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops them without touching your account.
- Cookies and browser storage
Sign-in cookies keep you signed in. The site does not work without them.
Your cart and the sample text and colour you type are kept in your own browser, not sent to us.
On the launch offer and free trial pages we set two first-party cookies for 90 days: ok_anon, a random visitor number, and ok_launch, the campaign details of your first and latest visit from an ad. They let us tell which ad brought a signup. They hold no name or email.
Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and the Pinterest tag set their own cookies, described next. Every cookie is listed in the cookie policy (ordklasse.com/cookies).
If you are in the European Union, the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the launch cookies, Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and the Pinterest tag only load after you accept them in the cookie banner. Anywhere, you can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings at the foot of every page.
- Analytics and advertising pixels
Google Analytics 4 measures which pages are visited, searches, cart and checkout steps, and sales, so we can see what works. Google processes this data under its own policies (policies.google.com/privacy).
The Meta Pixel tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) when you view a page or a font, save a family, search, add to cart, start a checkout, buy, or claim an offer. When a free trial turns into a paid membership, our server tells Meta and Pinterest the same way, with your email hashed so Meta can match it but not read it, along with the browser details taken at checkout. We use it to measure our ads on Meta and to show ads to people who have visited the site. Meta may link these events to a Meta account you are signed in to, and processes them under its own policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy).
The Pinterest tag tells Pinterest when you view a page or a font, search, add to cart, start a trial, buy, or sign up, so we can measure our ads on Pinterest and show them to people who have visited. Pinterest processes this under its own policy (policy.pinterest.com/privacy).
You can block these with your browser or an ad blocker, opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), and control ads in your Meta settings under Ad preferences. Blocking them does not affect the library, checkout or downloads.
- Ad audiences
We may give Meta or TikTok the email addresses of customers who said yes to emails at checkout, hashed so the platform can match them but not read them, to build an audience: to show our ads to people like our members, or to stop showing ads to people who are already members. If you do not want to be included, email hello@ordklasse.com and we will leave you out.
- Who else handles your information
Only the providers that run the site: Stripe (payments), Supabase (accounts, database and font files, stored in Sydney), Vercel (hosting), Resend (sending email), Google (analytics), Meta (the pixel and ads), Pinterest (the tag and ads) and, for ad audiences, TikTok. Several are based in the United States, so your information may be processed there.
We do not sell your personal information. We will disclose it if the law requires us to.
- How long we keep it
Account, purchase and download records are kept while your account is open, and purchase records for as long as tax law requires after that. The launch cookies expire after 90 days. Analytics providers keep their data under their own retention settings.
- Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have your account and its data deleted, by emailing hello@ordklasse.com. We will reply within 30 days. Deleting an account ends any membership on it.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your information, to take it with you, and to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in Australia and not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
- Children
The site is for designers and businesses. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
- Changes
When what we collect or who we share it with changes, this page changes first, with the date below.
